When it comes to list building many people new to network marketing or Internet marketing don’t really know where to begin. There are so many time wasting strategies out there, and when you’re just starting out you don’t really know what works and what doesn’t. Well I’m going to show you how to super charger your list building activities by using an under-utilized list building strategy called Ad Swaps.
The Basics Of Ad Swaps
Ad Swaps are a great way to network with other marketers and build your list in the process. Ad Swaps are simply agreements to mail someone’s ad to your list, while they mail your ad to their list. Here’s how it works.
First you will contact someone through a forum or blog in your niche. In this case we’re talking about network marketing or MLM. You’ll contact them and set up an agreement to mail your list with an offer they want to promote. Most likely both of you don’t have a product to sell so you might offer a free gift like an ebook or video training in exchange for their contact information. You now have a new source of leads. Pretty simple right. Now let’s take a look at some numbers.
Let’s say your list has 100 people in it and the person you’re doing your ad swaps with has a list of 100 people. Let’s assume both squeeze pages convert about 10% of the people (it could be more or less… this just makes the math easier).
100 x .10 = 10 new people to your list (and to his also).
Now you might be thinking these numbers aren’t very impressive… well now let me show you how you can super charge this list building strategy and pump some juice into your ad swaps.
Ad Swaps On Steroids
In our previous example you only got 10 new people to join your list from one persons list. What would happen if you did this with 10 people. Here’s how it works.
Find 10 people who would be willing to do Ad Swaps with you and want to do ad swaps with other people. If you do the exact same thing as the previous example, you’ll have 100 new people on your list… that’s a 100% increase in subscribers and it was all completely free. Now here’s the great part…
The next time you decide to do Ad Swaps with your list of 10 “Ad Swapers” you won’t get 100 new people… it will grow exponentially. Keep in mind your 10 new friends did the same thing you did, so their lists have grown 100% as well. So now instead of getting 100 new subscribers you’ll get 200 new subscribers. If your doing this right, each time you do Ad Swaps with your group of 10 (or another group of 10) your list should grow by 100% (that’s at a 10% conversion on your squeeze page).
